Catherine Herrington ("Cathy") is a fourth-generation Texan and has practiced law in Texas since November of 1998. She graduated from Vesalius College in Brussels, Belgium in 1993, completing a senior thesis on the Law of the Sea particular to the Gulf of Mexico. From 1993 to 1995, she worked as a legislative aide in Washington, DC for Houston Congressman Gene Green focusing on women's issues and obtaining federal grants for Texas.
She is a 1998 graduate of the University of Houston Law Center, where she was admitted to the Order of the Barristers upon graduation. During law school she was a member of the school's intercollegiate traveling mock trial team. She won the Law Center's Hippard Open Mock Trial Tournament in 1996 and 1997, and was named Best Speaker in 1996.
Cathy's career has focused on litigation since her admittance to the State Bar of Texas. She has successfully provided representation in numerous wrongful death and personal injury cases alleging negligent and willful acts, premises liability, construction defects, trucking accidents and product defects. With the support of The Herrington Law Firm, she continues to be an effective litigator and skilled conflict negotiator.
